Country House, Aldbourne
Autumn 2016
The ground floor of the apartment within a Grade II listed 16th century property needed adapting to suit the future needs of the client whose mobility was impaired. Doorways were widened and room layouts and furnishings reconsidered to enable easy access without the impinging on the clients desire to keep the style in keeping with its period setting.

Accessiblity
The cloakroom was increased in size to make it fully accessible by wheelchair and 'future-proofed' with anchor points concealed within the paneling for grab rails if needed.

Bespoke Furniture
To increase the clear floor area additional storage was required to tidy away the detritus of everyday life. A bespoke fitted bookcase and boot & coat store were commissioned.
