Country Cottage, Devizes
Photographs Michael Crockett
A small single storey extension has resolved tricky layout problems for this 19th century farm cottage that has had several disjointed extensions added to it over the past 20 years. By opening up both the lounge and kitchen to the new space an open plan living space has been achieved. French windows open out onto a new terrace and the expansive views of the countryside beyond. Additionally, a new porch was built and as well as a separate guest wing, with office, garage, carport and guest accommodation.
Isobel oversaw the planning process, gaining relevant authority approvals, and project management of the building process.
Bootroom & Utility
The creation of a new dining are allowed the old breakfast room to be turned into a Bootroom & Utility. The refit of the Kitchen and Utility were both in collaboration with Lacy-Hulbert Kitchens.
